Description

The set includes the board and pieces, all packaged in our custom-designed Magnetus Chess box. The pieces and the board have strong magnets to ensure that the pieces are always centered on the squares. Pieces are standard size with the king measuring 3.75 inches high. Pieces are heavy weighted (the king weights 70 grams or 2.47 oz), contain strong magnets, and are felted at the bottom. The color of the pieces are beige (with dark speckles) and cherry (with white speckles). Two extra queens are provided. The board is also made of a durable resin, with squares measuring 2 inches (51 mm) per side. The edges are made of oak hardwood. The overall dimension are 17 inches per side. The board has strong magnets in the center of each square and is required for the self-adjustment of the pieces. The board is finished with a thick glossy glaze-coat (felt pads are placed at the bottom to prevent scratching of surfaces).
