This beautifully handmade chess set is self-adjusting. The pieces and the board have strong magnets to ensure that the pieces are always centered on the squares. The Tournament set meets FIDE and USCF tournament regulations. This set is ideal for playing at your local club or at home, as well as for studying and analyzing games. The pieces are made of a very strong resin with the look and texture of oak wood grain. Their size is standard, with the King measuring 3.75 inches (9.5cm) in height and 1.5 inches (3.8cm) in diameter. They are heavy weighted (the king weights 70 grams or 2.47 oz), contain strong magnets, and are felted at the bottom to protect the board from scratches. The color of the pieces are beige and black. Two extra Queens for Pawn promotion are provided. The Tournament set comes with a wooden board, which is made of walnut and maple, with squares measuring 2 inches  (51 mm) per side. The overall dimension are 16.25 inches per side. The board is finished with a durable satin varnish (felt pads are placed at the bottom to prevent scratching of surfaces). Overall weight is 10 lb.
